Community Therapy was founded in the Hunter region, and has expanded to the Mid North Coast area.

We now provide Occupational Therapy home visits across Taree, Tuncurry, and Forster. If you’re living in the surrounding areas, there’s every chance we can see you!

Our local team brings extensive experience across various healthcare services. Community Therapy collaborates with home care providers, NDIS providers, residential aged care facilities and private health insurers to deliver professional healthcare solutions to Mid North coast residents.

How We Help

We support adults and older adults across the Mid North Coast with Occupational Therapy home visits to help people with a range of things including:

Equipment or assistive technology assessments and prescriptions; and
Home modifications assessments and designs

Equipment & Assistive Technology Assessments

Community Therapy offers Occupational Therapy equipment or assistive technology (AT) assessments and prescriptions across the Mid North Coast.

We support people to access low cost, low risk equipment such as bathroom equipment like shower chairs all the way to more complex equipment like pressure cushions, mattresses and electric wheelchairs.

We work collaboratively with equipment suppliers across the Mid North Coast to find the right solutions for each client that we support.

Home Modifications

We offer home modifications assessments for older adults with funding through their home care package, short term restorative care program or CHSP as well as NDIS participants.

We are NDIS registered and highly experienced across the aged care system and our Occupational Therapists assess and plan modifications for all property types, from owner occupied, to rentals, department of housing and SIL / SDA properties.

We work closely with builders and suppliers to complete approved projects.

We provide turn-key management, handling everything from assessment, design, quotes and installation review.

Goal Centered Occupational Therapy

At Community Therapy, we believe in a goal-centered approach to Occupational Therapy, focusing on what matters most to you!

Our Occupational Therapists work collaboratively with each client to identify meaningful personal goals and create tailored plans that support their independence and quality of life.

Whether it’s working on identifying the best equipment or home modifications or building skills to engage in activities of daily living more independently again, our interventions are tailored for clients to reach their goals and live life to the fullest!

With ongoing support and one to one care, we help our clients to achieve their meaningful goals and to live longer and better at home.
