Why Join Our Paediatric Dietetics #DreamTeam?

At Community Therapy, we take a holistic, compassionate approach to paediatric nutrition.

As an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) on our paediatric team, you will visit homes and schools across the region. You will work alongside our paediatric Speech Pathologists and OTs to support growing children and give families peace of mind around food and nutrition.

What You Will Do & Who You Will Empower

Childhood nutrition forms the foundation for lifelong health. Working with infants, children, teens, and their families across NDIS, early intervention, and private funding streams, your clinical practice will include:

  • Paediatric Growth & Clinical Nutrition: Managing faltering growth, failure to thrive, nutrient deficiencies, food allergies, intolerances, and chronic pediatric health conditions.

  • Sensory Feeding & Disordered Eating: Supporting neurodivergent children, extreme picky eaters, and young people experiencing disordered eating with gentle, evidence-based approaches.

  • Enteral Nutrition Management: Prescribing and managing tube feeding (PEG/NG) regimens and specialised pediatric nutritional supplements.

  • Joint Mealtime Care with Speech & OT: Partnering closely with internal Speech Pathologists and OTs to solve complex mealtime, swallowing, and sensory feeding challenges together.

Everything You Need to Thrive in Your Career

We believe in taking care of our practitioners so you can focus on caring for children and families. As a Paediatric Dietitian with Community Therapy, you will receive:

  • Tailored Clinical Mentoring: Build your paediatric expertise with dedicated shadowing, weekly case reviews, an annual PD allowance, and 1:1 mentorship from senior clinicians.

  • Integrated Clinic & Mobile Tools: Utilise our dedicated Charlestown Paediatric Clinic, company car options, laptop, phone, and cloud-based software for seamless day-to-day work.

  • On-Road & Administrative Backing: Enjoy full admin support for scheduling and billing, plus immediate phone access to management when working in the community.

  • Flexible Hours & Supportive Culture: Benefit from genuine work-life balance through flexible scheduling, an inclusive environment, and regular team social gatherings.
