What You Will Do & Who You Will Empower
At Community Therapy, we believe communication and safe mealtimes are fundamental human rights. You will see clients right where they feel most comfortable—in private homes, retirement villages, disability group homes, or residential aged care facilities. Working across diverse funding streams (NDIS, Home Care Packages, CHSP, Short Term Restorative Care, Lifetime Care, and private health), you will deliver holistic care tailored to each individual’s goals:
Dysphagia & Mealtime Management: Conducting comprehensive swallowing assessments, creating safe mealtime management plans, and prescribing texture-modified diets and thickened fluids.
Complex Communication & AAC: Prescribing high-tech and low-tech Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems to give clients a voice and build their independence.
Adult & Paediatric Speech Care: Delivering evidence-based interventions for speech, language, voice, literacy, and fluency across neurological, developmental, and age-related conditions.
In-House Dietetics Collaboration: Partnering directly with our internal Dietetics team to co-manage complex dysphagia, nutrition, and mealtime safety for best-practice holistic outcomes.
