Why Join Our Paediatric OT #DreamTeam?
At Community Therapy, our dedicated paediatric team helps children build the skills they need to play, learn, grow, and thrive.
Operating from our Charlestown Paediatric Clinic and visiting homes, schools, and preschools across the region, you will be part of a vibrant, multi-disciplinary team delivering meaningful, play-based therapy that transforms young lives.

What You Will Do & Who You Will Empower
As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will empower children of all ages to navigate their everyday “occupations”—from self-care and school participation to social play. Working across NDIS, early intervention, and private funding streams, your caseload will focus on:
Sensory Processing & Emotional Regulation: Helping neurodivergent children build self-regulation strategies, sensory profiles, and coping tools for home and classroom environments.
Fine Motor & Daily Living Skills: Developing hand function, handwriting, shoe-tying, feeding independence, and personal care routines through fun, functional activities.
Assistive Technology & Home Adaptations: Recommending sensory equipment, specialised seating, minor home adjustments, and adaptive tools to support independence.
Family & Educator Coaching: Partnering closely with parents, carers, and teachers to ensure therapy goals seamlessly extend into everyday routines.

Everything You Need to Thrive in Your Career
Delivering life-changing therapy requires a supportive, well-resourced workplace. As part of our Paediatric OT team, you will receive complete backing to sustain a happy, successful career:
Targeted Paediatric Mentoring: Benefit from extensive initial shadowing, structured induction, weekly clinical discussions, and dedicated 1:1 mentoring with a senior Paediatric OT.
Dedicated Clinic & Tech Support: Utilise our modern Charlestown Paediatric Clinic and mobile resources, including a company car option, laptop, phone, and streamlined scheduling systems.
Career Development & PD Allowance: Expand your clinical toolkit with funded external PD, clear pathways for specialisation or leadership, and immediate clinical phone support.
Work-Life Balance & Fun Team Culture: Enjoy flexible working hours, an inclusive workplace culture, and regular social connection with a friendly allied health team.
