Recruitment Process at Community Therapy

At Community Therapy we have become a local healthcare leader due to the high standards across our administration and clinical teams. We like to take some extra steps to ensure we are a good fit for you, and that you will be a good fit as part of our #dreamteam!

Having the skills and values that align with our mission and vision as an organisation is extremely important so we can ensure we’re delivering the best services to clients, as well as looking after and supporting one another as a collaborative care team.

Step 1: Check out our Website!

If you like what you’ve seen or heard – Submit your CV and Cover Letter

We are always on the lookout for the best talent in the region whom we can support and develop so that they may help us change more client lives, so, even if you don’t see an active job for your skill set, please feel free to still get in touch.

When you click Apply Now you’ll be taken to our Job Opportunities portal where you’ll be able to submit your CV and Cover Letter. You may also have the opportunity to submit a short video (we love seeing them!) and for some job opportunities we may also use some state-of-the-art software that will ask you to respond via video to some simple questions.

Step 2: Phone Discussion

Once we have your application we’ll get back to you as soon as possible to let you know if you’ve been selected to proceed to the next phase. For candidates proceeding to the next phase, one of our leadership team will be in touch to arrange a short phone call.

Our Managing Director, Allied Health Manager or General Manager (AKA Scott, Kate or John!) will then give you a call at a suitable time to get to know you better and explain a bit more about our roles.

Step 3: Face to Face or Video Interview

It is our preference to meet you face to face and this is usually with at least two of our leadership team (and over tea or coffee!) at one of our offices in Mayfield West or Erina. Sometimes, due to outbreaks and lockdowns, the interview will need to be via video link instead. We use Google Meet for these interviews which should be compatible on your laptop or phone.

The interview is a great time to ask all of your questions, as well as your ideas on how we can support you to be the best clinician or administrator possible!

Some of our roles will involve a secondary face to face interview phase also, but we’ll let you know if that’s the case during Step 3!

Step 4: Verbal Offer and Written Offer

Once again, one of our leadership team will be in touch with you to let you know the success of your application and interview. From here, you’ll receive your Employment Agreement offer for you to review and return at your earliest convenience. We’ll also be on hand to answer any questions along the way!

Step 5: Onboarding

Once you have accepted and signed the Employment Agreement you will be requested to submit your required compliance documents and HR information. This will be items like your professional registration, worker training competencies and payroll and superannuation details etc.

Once again we use a software program for this that will make it very smooth and easy for you!

Step 6: Induction and Training

At Community Therapy we believe a comprehensive induction is key to building a solid foundation for a long and rewarding career with us. On Day 1 you’ll come into the office and get to meet the office team and we’ll work through your comprehensive induction to our company values, systems, processes and policies. Importantly, we’ll also buy you lunch!

After Day 1 you’ll be supported through a period of shadowing with one of our senior team members, and we’ll continue to support you along the way as you get to know our systems, processes, and most importantly, the clients and participants we work alongside. Shadowing can be anything from 1-2 weeks depending on how you’re going! We’ll be doing regular check-ins and you’ll have the chance to provide survey feedback along the way also.

Beyond that, you’ll be involved in regular ongoing professional development, team meetings and social catch-ups as part of being in the #dreamteam.
