Why Does Our Weight Fluctuate?

It is normal for weight to fluctuate throughout the day, and from day to day (usually within a couple of kilograms).

However, more significant weight fluctuation could be a sign that something more serious is happening for you, for example, acute periods of illness or infection may have a significant impact on weight.

If you are losing or gaining weight unintentionally, please speak to your GP or any of our Allied Health professionals.

How can a Dietitian Help you Manage your Weight?

Working with a Dietitian involves education and skills-building (e.g. grocery shopping, label reading education, meal planning and preparation skills).

At Community Therapy our Dietitians are trained in providing non-judgemental, individualised nutrition advice that is aimed toward reaching your weight-related goals.

Whether your goal is weight gain or weight loss, our Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD’s) are here to assess, educate and support individuals to achieve their goals.

We provide evidence-based nutrition advice tailored to a range of conditions including but not limited to those with diabetes, dementia, motor-neurons disease, Parkinson’s disease, disordered eating and malnutrition.
