Community Therapy offers mobile Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services throughout Port Stephens NSW.
Community Therapy partners with NDIS providers, home care providers, residential aged care facilities, life time care and support participants, private health insurers, support coordinators, plan management companies, local area coordinators and other health care services. We also support DVA clients, older adults with medicare plans and people recovering at home following a surgery.
We have been serving locals of Port Stephens since our inception in 2016.
As we are locally owned and operated and we really appreciate the opportunity to offer healthcare services which create a positive effect on the local community. Our Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists are University trained, with many being Alumni from the University of Newcastle.
We are NDIS registered and work with adult participants to help them achieve their goals.
Our Occupational Therapists assist participants with obtaining assistive technology or equipment which improves independence, access to the community, mobility and safety at home.
Our Occupational Therapists assist participants with home modifications, from simple, low-cost modifications such as handrails, to complex modifications.
Our Occupational Therapists also assist participants to access more suitable accommodation by conducting robust Supported Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation assessments and reports.
Our Physiotherapists conduct home visits to assess and create plans to maintain and restore functional capacity. We help people improve their strength, balance and mobility and decrease their pain.
Residential Aged Care
We work collaboratively with aged care facilities to provide professional pain management programs and Physiotherapy solutions.
We are accomplished in maintaining both accreditation and ACFI compliance, through on-going training, education and routine auditing.
We also specialise in the delivery of manual handling training and education on clinical topics such as pain and falls.
