Description

A referral for an electric or mechanical bed is a common request for clinicians. In this short course, we explore the benefits of a profiling bed to support a client’s pressure care; positioning; comfort and transfer needs. 

This on-demand training is approximately 25 minutes (22 minutes to be exact!) and covers:

• The purpose, features and benefits of electric profiling beds
• Assessment including person; environment; alternatives & additional considerations for prescribing a profiling bed
• Consideration of bed features to address functional needs
• Maintenance considerations once a profiling bed is prescribed to ensure ongoing safety and suitability
