Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy

Founded in Lake Macquarie, Community Therapy has been serving the community of Warners Bay since 2016. We provide Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy that is delivered on a mobile basis, meaning, we travel to our client’s home or meet our clients at places like pools and gyms.

We work best with adults (over 18) and the elderly community, our services are highly specialised and we are equipped to treat a range of physical and neurological conditions.

In 2019, our NDIS processes were certified by SAI Global which means that we are a NDIS registered provider. We are proud to support, enable and empower NDIS participants to live an enriched and meaningful life. Importantly, we are motivated by the people we serve.

Our therapists love their work, and we recruit those with a passion for caring for people and taking a community-first approach. Many of our staff are Novocastrians and attended The University of Newcastle. We are a high quality, professional organisation that delivers expert health services to the residents of Warners Bay.

Success Stories from our Work in Warners Bay

We met an amazing lady who is an 87 yo aged care facility resident, she had sustained a fractured right neck of femur in 2019.  The lady also had dementia and her rehabilitation at a local hospital was unsuccessful, and therefore she was discharged to an aged care facility.

At the time of referral to us, the lady required physical assistance to roll in bed and the use of a Sara Stedy to transfer with physical assistance.

After a few months of 2-3x weekly Physiotherapy sessions, the lady managed to return home under her daughter’s care. This lady has now been able to improve her physical function to be able to walk again with the assistance of a walker!
